Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information CovertPlugins ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, the Covert client and its plugins (together, "the Service"), why we collect it and what we do with it. We only collect what we need to run licences and keep them from being shared.

1. Information we collect

• Discord account details. When you log in with Discord we ask only for the basic "identify" permission. This gives us your Discord user ID, username or display name and avatar. We do not receive your email address, password, friends list or messages.
• Licence details. Your licence key, the packages you hold (Sub, Premium, Ultimate) and when they start and end, any time added or removed by staff, and whether the account is banned.
• Device information. When the client checks your licence it sends a machine ID, a one-way fingerprint made from your PC's hardware so we can tell your PCs apart without learning anything personal about them. We store when each PC was first and last used to enforce the 3-PC limit.
• Connection information. With each licence check we record your IP address and the approximate location and network provider Cloudflare derives from it (country, city, ISP). This is used only to detect licence sharing and is deleted after 30 days.
• Payments. Payments are handled by Stripe. We receive confirmation of what you bought, the amount and a payment reference. We never see or store your card details.
• Notifications you send. If you use the Notifier plugin's Discord message option, the text of each notification passes through our server to be sent to you by our Discord bot. We do not keep a copy of it.

2. How we use your information

• To create your account and licence key and let you log in.
• To check your licence when the client starts and periodically while it runs, and to deliver the plugins included in your package.
• To give and remove your Discord roles as your packages start and end.
• To detect and act on licence sharing, abuse and fraud (for example many PCs, or use from different countries at the same time).
• To process purchases and resolve billing questions.
• To provide support when you contact us.

3. Plugin watermarking

Paid plugins downloaded through the client carry a hidden marker that links that copy to your account. It holds only your Discord user ID, the plugin name and the download time, and is used only to trace leaked copies.

4. Sharing your information

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that run the Service: Cloudflare (hosting, database and network), Stripe (payments) and Discord (login, roles and messages from our bot). Licence-sharing reports are visible to our staff in a private Discord channel. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

5. Cookies

We use one login cookie to keep you signed in (for up to 30 days) and a short-lived cookie that protects the Discord login from forgery. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

6. How long we keep it

• IP addresses and location data: deleted automatically after 30 days.
• PCs: kept while linked to your licence; you can remove them yourself with Reset PCs on your account page.
• Account, licence and purchase records: kept while your account exists, and as long as needed for accounting and to enforce bans.

7. Security

Data is stored in Cloudflare's infrastructure and sent over encrypted connections. Licence responses are cryptographically signed. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your choices and rights

You can see your licence key, packages and PCs on your account page at any time. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account by contacting us through our Discord server. Deleting your account ends any remaining licence time. You can also remove our app's access from Discord under User Settings → Authorized Apps.

9. Children

The Service is not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age for a Discord account where you live), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
